3. Feb 16,  · I just got Fairport's Liege and Lief SHM-SACD and it sounds really nice to me. However, I compared and it is very similar to the original Island CD mastering. A bit more bottom end, maybe a wider stereo image and a bit more analog sounding. The album is an all time fave for me, but for a casual listener, I am not sure it would be worth the money.
